charlie caller 3,654 Posted January 21, 2013 Report Share Posted January 21, 2013 Absolutely mate,but give em a good crack with a hammer first, to help the bird out,I always pay particular attention to the jaw area,on squirrels and rabbits,but yes mate very good hawk food,they get some good fats around the beak,and also helps keep it trimmed. Joycey 20 Posted January 22, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 Cheers lads, ive always done the same with rabbit heads, and i always smash them up first, its just that on the falconry forum someone mentioned that squirrel heads can carry some sort of disaese and id already given my fhh the head.... its the first time shes caught a squirrel so i gave her a good feed up on it..
