Mitts/mittens ?

Not sure of the correct name for them. Like a glove but keeps 4 fingers together.

 

Looking for a pair for lamping, which normally consists of me standing around in the cold and wind for long periods, cold hands already.

 

Wind and waterproof, and warm would be good. Don't want anything "heated", in my expeirence those items are just gimmicks.

 

Anyone use them?

have some of the fingerless gloves with a flap that turns them into mittens for ferreting in the snow yesterday, they were good but snow sticks to them like fook which makes your hands colder.

Get the British army gortex mittens cheap,enough and are brilliant ... Totally waterproof and I have used them down to -20 .......

And yes, I do concede they look incredibly ghey, but they also look incredibly warm

 

Not into fingerless gloves, I want to keep my fingers together, have had bad expierences with good gloves, I think keeping fingers separate for me is a bad choice.

totally agree with socks on these,,coming back from africa last winter on me motorbike and crossing central spain...well they became a great comforting friend..lol......
