Good Couple Of Hours Out, But Who The F***k Set That Net?

Recommended Posts

Had a good couple of hours ferreting today over in Cornwall. Went out with sharper off here and a friend called Tony who put us on to this new bit off permission. We arrived around half eight and were pleased to see plenty of bunnies sat out. We loaded ourselves up with kit and made our way across the frozen fields, there were rabbits running in everywhere. Spoilt for choice we decided to do a nice easy hedge about 150 Yds long with the densest looking areas at each end. Long nets run and a few poke nets tactically placed on some of the runs, and it was in with the four ferrets. We managed to take 16 in two and a half hours, 8 from each end of the hedge. It was an easy days ferreting with the rabbits bolting easily, I had just one dig of a bout four feet but when I broke through the little stinker just dragged it deeper and then came off it. We had two doe's with young in them but they weren't too far gone. I hope this cold snap has put them back a few weeks. I took the new GoPro video camera out to give it a test today, I managed to get a little bit of stuff but the cold weather soon sucked all the life out of the batteries. Next week (weather dependent ) will see me get out with all my video gear I will knock something up for you all to take a look at. Attached is a little taster from today, we have a few things to put right before next week so sharper is coming round and I am going to teach him how to put a poke net on correctly. That's enough from me take a look and ENJOY!

Regards
