stop and long net question

i am making a couple traditional 12yrd stop nets for the coming season but im just wondering how long i should make the top and bottom lines.im also considering getting a couple long nets to use whilst ferreting and at night ,i thought about getting two 6z , 50yrd long quick set system already rigged up on fiber glass poles ready to use .do you think this would be an alright setup for a beginner,also gypo joe has gave me a decant price.

now if your wanting to make a net thats 12yrds long dont you think the lines should be, let me guess. including the tags for the anchor pins

thanks mole catcher thats all i needed .cheers would you use metal anchor pins for a stop net or would you use something else,now hows the best way to tie both bottom and top lines onto the anchor pins?also would you say two 50yrd longnets will be good for a novice ,any advice before i go spending my dads money.lol

splice them on a traditional set net, you want no knots on the line at all.

that looks well confusing ,well my cuz has just got a net making , repairing dvd so im going to try and borrow that.
