J.DOG 1,355 Posted January 20, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 20, 2013 good pics mate and a stunning dog . he defo likes the snow how old is he ? ive just got a saluki x my first sal x and after hearing all sorts of things about them tbh ive not noticed much differaince between him and any other lurcher last dog was a bull x so obviously not so much rough an tumble maybe as he gets older ill start to see some saluki trates Cheers mate he's 8/9 month old now he's been easy to handle I grew up with saluki xs , yep they can be easy and can be testing ,it takes patience , usually around 7-8 months they tend to try pushing you abit it's important to stay calm and don't get angry , people say they throw a deaf ear and yes sometimes they do but carry on walking and they follow lol salukis to me are different to lurchers in attitude but if trained like one they will perform like one , my pups 3/4 saluki 1/4 grey I let them mature as much as I can he's not seen a thing yet other than a rat he caught by mistake lol and I won't be running him till I feel he's ready , patients is the key but once they are trained and its clicked they are very good dogs very loyal good luck with your pup mate 1 Quote Link to post
