PLEDGEY 496
You should only go tp prison as a last resort or if you are a threat to the public. I don't think he'll ever be doing it again, and he definitely isn't a threat to the public, so he shouldn't be doing any bird. I don't see the problem with killing squirrels but i do have a problem when people let animals suffer. To not kill some thing out right with a .22 when you have it in a cage is just sheer negligence. bunny tickler 876
the owd lad probably thought it was dead ,hes not a burglar ,rapist ,mugger or terrorist why should he go to jail ,there are burglars with 4000 offences never seen jail , bloody hell hes 75 yrs old ok he made a bad mistake & will regret it , i bet all the ones who condemn him have shot & wounded rabbits birds or squirrels in there shooting career dont tell me hes the only one , ok lets have the verbals 2 Quote Link to post

Left it then came back and put another three rounds into it? When I've shot something in the head, whatever it is, I always stretch it's kneck, why? because once, I fluffed a shot, the animal went down like a sack of bricks. Not wanting to disturb the others, I stayed put. A few seconds later the bunny got up and gave it legs in a figure of eight! I dont shoot to injure like most. I was on my feet instantly, clearing the field of all other quarry. So now it's a neck stretch regardless, after every shot. That was all he had to do once he had shot it initially. How could he not hit the brain at that range? Maybe he shouldn't go to jail, but he sure as fecking hell shouldn't be allowed to own a gun! and as he made no attempt to ensure the animal was dead I for one hope he gets an exceptionally hard penalty! Just my personal opinion Tony Quote Link to post
bunny tickler 876
if i stretched everythings head i shot ,i would arms like arnie ,i headshoot my quarry cos im a responsible hunter & know my game & i know its dead i dont need to do an autopsy on every thing i shoot , them again im not perfect & im not an old man who isnt a hunter who probably didnt know it had to be a brain shot to kill it ffs give the old lad a break he did wrong ,why should he face a hard penalty ,get your priorities right ,he made a bad mistake & now he faces the consequences , the law & newspapers should chase feckin criminals & make an example of them ,not some old man pestered to death with tree rats 2 Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
What I was saying is he should not have even attempted to kill something if he is incapable of doing it correctly. I dont give a sh!t if it was a flea, a tree rat or another human being. F I V E Attempts to kill it each one doing nothing but causing more suffering? And then to leave it after a couple of shots so he could go do his shopping before comming back and having another three tries at getting it right Totally unaceptable to any NORMAL RIGHT MINDED Human being. If any one of you think that is the correct way to despatch an animal then I pity your severe mental dificiency. Yes Craig, I do and yes it tends to do just that each time Tony Quote Link to post
