Help Car Oil On My Seahog Shortie Boat

Hi guys help needed

I've spilt loads of car oil on my Seahog gel coat

What is the best stuff to get the oil off

It looks like its been sucked in by the fibreglass and it looks a mess

gunwash, thinners and spirit wipe

and acetone should work

wipe it on and wipe off straight away

Iv seen an old and bad oil stain cleaned off caravan fibreglass by MEK solvent. dunno if that helps? but maybe worth a mention.

clutch and brake cleaning spray.........be carefull using thinners

Thanks for the reply everyone il keep them in mind i tryd autosmart g101 and thats taken the first surface stain off but it wont take the stain that the fiberglass has absorbed

Maybe to late now, with all due respect do not use acitone it could melt your boat.

Try IPA and the rest of the above, however try on a small area first to ensure you do not get any reaction.

acetone wont melt your boat, it evaporates, nor will thinners damage it

wet rag and a dry rag and as mr mayagi says

wipe on wipe off, job done

used them both in this way thousands of times
