Gaz_1989 9,539
We went for a cracking mooch this morning at 6:30. It was as light as day because of the snow. Drifts up to your waist in places and dogs enjoyed themselves. You couldn't go lamping. It's not dark. A mates dog ripped her nail out running on some real hard ground where there wasn't much snow, but he says her nails were long overdue a trim so this was half the reason. My bitch and the other 2 dogs feet are fine, I guess it's a risk you take. Gaz Quote Link to post
lapin2008 1,587
Dont bother with the lamp, you should be able to make out the silhouette of stuff against the snow out in the field if you stick to the hedge rows or country roads you should be able to see loads without the lamp Quote Link to post
paulus 26
I still run mine in the daytime. however ice under this dry snow can be a b*stard on feet plus fallen branches and other hidden obsticles can make it a challange at times. But you carn`t wrap then in cotton wool Quote Link to post

wirral countryman 2,110
My lurcher's are run on any ground and in any weather, good dogs will cope but dogs bred close to the bull or greyhound are not very bright and will run everything flat out,so if you know your dog then its your choice but you would lose a lot of sport waiting for ideal conditions,WM Quote Link to post
