moxy 617 Posted January 18, 2013 Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 I have had no success with it. I have a feeling mice will have to be starving to give it a go. Tried it twice and upon the follow up visit had to remove and pop something else down which was taken rapidly. So not wanting to look a fool in front of a customer it has stayed in the van. May give it another go but that may be when I end up with mice in my shed!! Quote Link to post

Matt 160 Posted January 18, 2013 Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 Black Pearl has been getting rave reviews. I've got a tub, and have used it with good results. The difference between Black Pearl and the old Alpha products is that this one is micro encapsulated, so the mice tend to eat a lethal dose before they realise what's hit 'em. No need to prebait, and the bodies are usually within six feet of the bait point. It's not approved for rats because it's not that palatable, and the fear is that a sub-lethal dose will lead to behavioural resistance and tolerance. The only slight fly in the ointment that I can see so far is the label condition that says that it can only be used for up to ten days. Quote Link to post

It is safe to use if done properly I believe, and non target species can be brought round again by bringing into the warm, but illegal in UK. Quote Link to post
