Takeing Pups On Farm Land For First Time ?

can you not gift one pup to a good home and put all your effort in to one pup pm mr pit for purdys progress dvd and take all summer if needs be getting everything right bonding recall etc just remember take your time theres no rush forget about work this season do some research books internet etc

At 5 months I wouldn't be lamping the dog I start lamping at 10 months old depending on the dog

hi iv been research mate just trying to get opinions of diffrent people iv had them two months and recall is great just looking for advice but some people just want to put new people to the sport down

Learn to walk before you can run........no rush especially with your first running dog, easy to mess up 1 dog when you're inexperienced let alone 2. Tale your time and get it right, theres enough f**k ups around as it is.

you have all ready had some good advice mate.

all i would say is buy some good books. learn to understand how a dogs mind works first. (then you'll decide that giving one pup to a good home will make your life much easier). you have to be the leader of the pack. training a pup is progressive and taking a dog to the farm without good basics is like putting a roof on a house with no foundations.

you have many pitfalls to face but when things go right you'll taste the madness that is working dogs. good luck with them mate.

 

oh yeah if your asking for help on here expect i bit of flax and just roll with it

DO NOT LET THEM RUN AROUND TO INVESTIGATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on there first trip to a farm.

 

especially if there's livestock about. one you wont have the farm long and two remember your ambassador for other dog men out there and we don't need any bad press. there's enough idiots out there without adding to the ranks.
