In the past I heard and read a few things about problems with the running gear on the pre 2000 models but are the later models upto 2004 still the same? jacob 28 Posted July 11, 2007 Report Share Posted July 11, 2007 my mrs has one,its o.k no major problems fairly good on diesel,no hi/low ratio though,so serious off roaders theyre not but for doggin and shoppin theyre alright. early petrol versions had head gasket problems i think. SNAP SHOT 194 Posted July 11, 2007 Report Share Posted July 11, 2007 before the 2000 models were giving bother with the electric back window on the freelanders, but the newer models seem to be better built 2003 up seem good, if your looking for one give it a good lookng over for bushings etc hope this helps. The wife hates shopping in the Nav due to parking it but weather she likes it or not the Nav stays , the funny thing is when I picked up the Nav she thought I was going out to take a look at a Freelander! her face was a picture when I pulled up in the Navara ...
