No, I haven't read them all, and I'm fecked if I'm going to either. So he has a bit to say about racial issues.......so what? he was having a discussion with Ditch in the Glasgow airport thread, and I didn't see Ditch getting freaked out and shouting "J'accuse!" I can see by reading his posts what's caused all the fuss but they seem more out of Ignorance than Malice, we all know there is some pretty shrewd customers on the forum who will soon sniff out a gennuine Rat , and lets face it! if he is and he slips up as they all do in the end he'll be burned clean off the site beyond recognition... gnasher16 30,453 Posted July 12, 2007 Report Share Posted July 12, 2007 Personally i think for people to call the lad a wrong un without being 100 % sure he is shows some people really have no values of the words they are using.....where i come from you dont call someone a wrong un unless you are sure they are simply because of the seriousness of what your saying.....but on these forums these words seem to get thrown around like a plaything,which i guess is an easy thing when you cannot see the person who says it !....i wouldnt like to be the judge of this fella good or bad but it would take a lot more than a few dodgy/naive posts to make me use the words some have used. And regarding his racial views,that just about sums this country up when people cant talk freely anymore for fear of offending someone....so much for free speech,its only free if you are very very careful what you say what bullshit ! Maybe this chaps a young fella being slightly naive,maybe he is over eager to learn....if you dont like the sound of him dont talk to him...but to sit and type from your keyboard that he,s a wrong un is just cheap. Guest pip Posted July 12, 2007 Report Share Posted July 12, 2007 Im sure P M understands at this point what he said was suspicious especially when the way of life of most on these forums have been eroded by a loud mouthed minority,who are ill informed ,so when you get folks saying suspicious thing on a hunting board people have the right to ask questions and depending on how many close calls ,acusations and lifestyle changes folks have been forced into their language may be a bit more crude due to being that bit more pissed of at todays situation so i don t blame anyone for there aggresiveness or rudeness as its very understandable Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I've enjoyed these forums so far, learning what I have so far from some knowledgable people, and to be honest this uproar has been abit of a wounder for me. I understand now why some of you would be paranoid about any new face that turns up, but I can assure you I'm only here to learn a thing or two about hunting. If you don't have any permissions, but still hunt, you're going to be cautious about posting on here - especially pictures. As a result you can look dodgy cos you don't back up what you say, and you can be suspicious of innocent questions. Of course you can feel these things if you do have permissions too if you think there's a serious anti on the other end of the questions. There's probably nothing to do about it but it's a damn shame and it means people aren't as warmly welcomed as they could be and I for one feel inhibited on this site in case I'm out of order and get it in the neck. I don't know how you can differentiate between an honest learner and a troll but as a few people have said, time will probably tell. It's a shame though.
