I think all this txt talk should be stopped on here and everywhere else, a lot of today's youngsters only know one way to write, and it's with this txt talk mullarky, alot of the older generation are using it as well.

But a great many Chatters are Scott's. Where do I draw the line? Do I stamp out, " Iee. Ah wos oot way tha dugs the day. " ? Because that's how many of them go on. Not 'Text Talk'. But f*cking hard work!

There is a massive difference between broad Scots (a defined and recognised language) and text talk I hate fecking text and the basic problem is that a lot of youngsters are lazy and can't be arsed spelling properly. In Scotland one of our native language's was banned from being taught in our schools (GAELIC) by a dictitorial government, Local idiom, language, dialect should always be allowed in chat as it defines who and what we are, If I can work out some-ones district or cultural origins by their style of writing and use of local descriptive words they use, thats a learning curve for me and many others
