FERRETBOY 680
fly and fern are 16 weeks today and are standing at 19"tts .they are being fed raw tripe and raw chicken mince combined with fruit and veg (apple ,brocoli, carrot, tomatoes) aswell as science plan as a snack through out the day.we wormed then again today with milbemax as it has been 4 weeks since we last wormed them.We get them out about 4 times a week for 1 or 2 hours a time lettng them have a run about to stop them from getting bored . we are also practicing there recall using food as a reward.Ferns (fawn bitch) recall is far better than flys because she prefers to stay with my dad were as fly prefers to be with bramble but Flys (brindle bitch) retrieving is better than ferns and she retrieves anything you throw for her including the rabbit fur dummy.i have been spending abit of time each day getting the pups used to the ferret which is going very well ,it helps having a ferret which is used to dogs aswell.we are gonna spend abit more time walking the pups through life stock as fern is showing abit of interest in the sheep.fern seems more allert to moving objects ie flying birds and rabbits funnily enough as she bushed one out of cover the other day and chased after it.not very wise i know but entirely an accident, very nerve racking but quite a sight to see.both pups even love playing in the water especially fly who cant get enough of it as you can see from the pics. good hunting rew Edited July 10, 2007 by REW Quote Link to post
