terryd 8,571
Lamping is extremely risky for a dog lost my best luncher one night and if I ever get another I will be extremely careful where I go with the lamp Quote Link to post
3175darren 1,101
At the end of the day they are born and bred to run, thats there purpose in life, to have them wrapped in cotton wool is cruel, they are hunting dogs not emoitional teddy bears, we owe it to them to full fill there lives as best we can, they serve us as best they can,I would not be happy if my lad got killed or had to retire him early through injury, but life goes on,I would be happy knowing he had a productive and interesting life, instead of being sat in a kennel bored shitless or pampered to the point of stupidity, 3 Quote Link to post
storm323 191
The thing with whippets is its hard to compare they're running style to any other dog,so up and at them,so agile and so committed they're bound to take a knock or two.As its been sed you take a risk every time you go out with your running dog but there only doing what they love and born to do!im sure you will always worry about the dogs that's just the way it is.
