Led Lamp Vs Regular Lamps

Recommended Posts

I have Nightmaster 800, very light and small compared to a traditional lamp and battery and will fit in your pocket, it will give a red beam out to about 400 yards and a white beam further. If you want to carry some spare batteries they are only the size of a AA pencil battery so can fit in your pocket, you don't have any trailing wires to get caught on fences, you can mount it on a gun with a pressure switch which means you can go lamping with a rifle by yourself.

The beam can be opened up or narrowed down and you get NO overspill of light around the edge of the beam like you do with other lamps, although the beam on the nightmaster when narrowed down is a square shape and does take some getting used to but is actually a better shape when you get used to it for scanning a field without spooking everything around you. The different modules are also a good idea, I have the white, red and the ir modules, the ir with the nightvision is also fantastic but that could be a new thread altogether depending on the nv device you use with it.

The only negative is the price but when you compare it to the price of a lightforce or max pro with a lithium battery there's not a lot in it. The beam is also a very bright white kind of light and can also take a bit of getting used to.

Why anyone would want to buy a lamp for not much less than a led torch and carry a big 12v battery with wires trailing around attatched to a lamp with a diameter of a dinner plate is beyond me with the introduction of this new technology, but that's just my oppinion.
