zini 1,939
No problems mate. I bought a Storm back in 2009 from Addie and Mandy. Addie is very good at fixing and customizing Stealths / Storms. He also as his own filling cylinders to refill your bottle. Si. Edited January 14, 2013 by zini Quote Link to post
shadow_sniper 47
Hiya si what i mean is that i read the post about a bloke not been able to fill his bottle at his local rfd. Also what u think to the s200 as a hunting rifle? Regards nick Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
I've not owned one (AA S200) myself mate but i know 2 lads on here that does and they rate them very highly. Very accurate by all accounts. I think you are talking about a quick fill fitted (Stealth) on a bottle mate and not a general repair. Si. 1 Quote Link to post
shadow_sniper 47
Basically i think my stealth needs near enough all the internals replacing because the previous owner made a bad job of uprating it? Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
stealths are very easy guns to disassemble and adjust and fix .They are really hard to get a nice consistent shot from under 12 ftlbs .If you want to wast time and money stick with the stealth .If you want to get a grounding in the workings of pcp air guns you will get that trying to make your stealth operate properly [not a total loss] .almost any gun has to be better than a stealth, an S 200 is on the short list of top guns ,after a bit of experience I know which gun I would get. even though I have never shot a S 200 .AAs400 ..s410 I have shot they are very good guns and compared to a stealth on price and performance and build quality the stealth is a joke .The stealth has a higher shot count but a power curve .Guns like aa are ease to refill just fill the gun to 150ish bar and shot to 130ish bar you are at the top of your power curve with consistent shots. shadow_sniper 47
So in other words bin the stealth? Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
So in other words bin the stealth? I had a stealth .It was fun to mess with .but in the uk there are big penalties for over powered guns??? .I did get the gun to shoot nice but the power had to be set low to be safe .I sold the gun and got a hw 100 .but I did learn a lot about pcp s making bits valves and hammers ect . ...... If you wont a gun to just shoot bin the stealth .In America were the stealth [talon] is a cheap powerful gun they must be a good gun. Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
.....this is a bit of the rubbish I have left lying around as a momento of owning a stealth . Quote Link to post
shadow_sniper 47
So loads of pratting then? How much u reckon ill be able to get this rifle the way it is? Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
can you see the little brass piece in the picture .[that one has the wrong thread size ] It holds the valve .there are 4 little holes in it .On the won in your gun it just has 2.the piece is located under the top hat .I was able to remove mine from the EMPTY bottle very easy and leave the valve adjustment alone .just get a point into one of the holes and unscrew the valve assembly complete .There is an o ring that could leak [replace] or the valve seat could be damaged [that can be repaired like you repair valves in an engine ,but it is a lot easeyer. I used autosolve metal polish as a lapping paste . when I made a valve assembly for my gun to experiment with ] I once bent my valve stem I did manage to straighten it but that was hard to do with a lot of luck. There may be other problems tr rob has a video showing how to drill the valve but that MUST F... your gun this may have been done to yours .If it was once you know how to remove your valve [assuming it is the same valve as mine was] you can check repair or replace parts when you know the problem .If the gun is losing loads of air it has to be the valve OR there is a little burts disc on the side of the neck of the bottle a little hole .in that hole is a little thing that blows out if to much pressure is put into the bottle .I never had to mess with mine .I guess you could pump up the bottle a bit an hold it under water and see if any air leaks out.
