Hi lads,

 

Just wondering what people charge roughly per acre on farms for catching moles with traps.

If you read through some old posts, you will probably find that those who trap on farms will charge per mole caught or a daily rate..

Work out what it will cost you in time and fuel and charge accordingly, not all jobs are the same you will learn by your mistakes.

If it's an acre with a mole in I charge £15. If it's an acre without any moles in at all I charge £10. Try to only work acres where there aren't any moles as the work's easier.

I charge £20 for the 1st mole then £10 for each mole after with a 'no catch/no fee' policy. I make this clear up front on my business cards, web site etc and then customer can either take it or leave it.

It's quite simple. If I am catching 20 mole an acre then I will charge £15 everytime I work that acre. If it's a thursday or the second tuesday of the month I will work an acre where there aren't any moles as it's an easy day and I still make a tenner. If I manage to catch a mole a mole int eh acre where there weren't any then I will not charge for a mole in the acre as there wasn't supposed to be one.
