HIGHAM 47 Posted January 13, 2013 Report Share Posted January 13, 2013 today was the first day on the new permission i got last week . firstly id like to thank Charlie " Diggermad " for selling me a mk3 finder and collar late lastnite haha cheers pal Well heres how the day went ... I met one of my mates and a friend of his at the farm at 9am this morning after finally de-frosting the van , heres a pic of when we pulled up so we headed across the fields to the wooded area , had a brew and a chat , collard the ferts up and had a mooch for the warrens , the first one we came across was a little 3 holer so netted up and dropped a fert in , within 30 seconds one hit the net , quickley re-netted the bolt hole and again another in the net ... bagged the nets up and off we went threw the woods , spoilt for choice with the warrens so missed a few out , anyway we bagged another 2 bunnies on our walk . came across a nice 4 holer so netted up and dropped a fert in , whilst sorting a net out that the fert had disturbed a rabbit was staring my mate right in the face and decided to turn round , we then knew he would be hard to flush out so a dig was on the cards , 10 mins and no sign of the fert so locator out and found it at 4.5ft spades at the ready and away we went , luckily the ground was soft in the cover unlike the fields we walked , broke threw and the fert must have been hungry haha after we back filled and cleaned up off we walked a little bit further into the woods and found another 3 holer were we netted 1 more ... 6 in total for a couple of hours work , i must say we checked a massive earth with about 20 holes and we had no joy , maybe a lack of ferrets in the ground but we found the smaller warrens holding more ... had a great day and a good laff , we give a bloke a rabbit as when we wer packing up he showed alot of interest and asked if he could have one to cook so we abliged , hence only 5 in the final pic once again a great morning work for all involved enjoy ATB Matt 3 Quote Link to post
