Gnipper I thought the same they can shiver weight off ! But could be worms to be honest

spot on with the cold thing, make sure warm kennel , wouldnt bother with Tripe it holds water, feed 1lb raw mince chicken or lamb + meal , just give extra grub when worked + cold weather .

the dog could be hurting somewhere. if like said above you have wormed.and increased food and the dog is still losing weight.then in could be injured.

injuries are not always visable.has its coat lost any condition.is the dog dehidrated.grab its coat just below the neck area or along its back.take a handful of fur lift and twist.see if it goes back quickly or slowly..if it goes back slowly.then its dehidrated.you cant beat a good boneman to look over your dog.much better then any vet.

one or a combination of all the above could be the cause but i would just get

a quick check at the vet & if it's given a clean bill of health just increase it's

food make sure it's warm dogs do burn more calories to keep warm in cold

weather but wouldn't of thought it's been cold long enough to see a loss of

weight on the other hand you may find a problem & the quicker you find it

the quicker you can resolve it.good luck

if your feeding your dog the same as you have in the past and not had a problem before then you need to go and see a vet,No good waiting a couple of weeks it could be an illness and then be to late. Its probably nothing but a few dollars at a vet job done and ease your mind. ATB
