Forgot to say those needles are nearly at the end, when fully loaded they are different. I.e bulging with twine.

Thats what i was looking for it loaded with twine , so fully loaded it will pass threw a inch ring and give you a three foot six net ?.

Yes it is tight but you can do it. The first row onto the ring is tight but it squeezes through ok. Alternatively if you don't want to slow the first row down slightly, use a triangle.

Usually what happens in reality is that I get a net out of the first one, and the the remainder I sometimes manage the first row out of the next net before joining the next twine

Aye but im starting my nets with a 6.5 inch needle and when that runs out finishing of the net with a 8 inch needle and sometimes thats no enough twine , The looms needles ive got are 8 inches so im still going to need two and make a join so im no going to be better off .

I shape my nets, if its 4 foot I start with 8 on the ring upto 18 then straight then back down to 8, I use 2 8 inch needles at the min and I have to join the twine once, I would like to get myself a loomis and give it a try, I've only been making nets for a couple of months but I think the loomis might help speed up the process for me, atb rabbitcatcher
