Daz 7 563
hi rob not sure a NV on a springer is a good idea ? unless it has minimal recoil,or the you can get the NITS SITE N50. they have a recoil reducer on them now. the HW95 is a good choice over a Hatsan i am not knocking them i just think if you are going to put a NV on a springer it needs to be one with low recoil, and made to a high standard. like HW,AA to name a few. Unless You can get hold of a Second Pulsar N550 Rob, Then No worries has they can take the Punishment of Centre Fire Rifles easily, Works a Treat on My Un-tuned HW 77k .22 atvb Daz 7. Hasn't it been mentioned before about the recoil effects from a Springer rifle being different to that of any Rim or Centre Fire rifle ? Quote Link to post

robwelsh 354
lol...the springer will be mainly for day time hunting, and plinking etc. where the nv add on will go on the jedi tool hahaha finally i can say it daz i dont mind stripping it and tuning it, been looking at secondhand springers as in hw and bsa lightning ...but the prices of the second hand market are mental lol knocking off 25 quid over std price because it might have a tin of pellets and a bag with it hahahahaha! the world has gone nuts. still though the 95k i can get for 260 new, sure its 260. anyway i got few weeks to decide ..hmmm! 1 Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Hi Rob, Getting a springer will be a lovely change for you buddy. They are such a treat to shoot over a pcp. Dont get me wrong pcps are awesome at what they do and i wont ever be without a pcp, but i just get more enjoyment out of shooting a springer. The HW95K i think would be your ideal springer Rob. I have also heard that some HW newer models have slipped a little with manufacture compared to the older HWs, but I'm pretty sure a slipped HW model if your unlucky to get one is still better than a Hatsan. If you got yourself a second hand HW95K and then spend £70 on a stage 1 tune at SFS then you have a cracking rifle and i dare say no Hatsan will come any where even close to it buddy in terms of smoothness, accuracy and consistency. Me and Davy are picking up 2 customized HW95K's in 4 weeks time from SFS that have had the works done on them. I love the 95, their light weight doesn't bother me at all and I have had tuned and un tuned ones in the past and always had great results from them both. Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
I've just tested a Hatsan Mod a few weeks ago and it was the worst springer less the earlier SMK's that i have ever shot in my life. The quarto trigger is a joke and the thing is as twangy as a twangy thing. Yes full power and all that but who needs power when you can shoot past 30 yards effectively? My max range was 20 to 25 meters to stay within a inch with it. My older Relum Tornado was far better than the new Hatsan was. Edited January 14, 2013 by zini Quote Link to post
sureshot.177 49
Buy second hand loads of bargains out there Quote Link to post
Papa g 14
Hatsan 60s best low priced gun out there bar none! & yes I have tried & owned most of the weihrauchs including hw100, all I will say is that the hatsan benefits from a strip down & de-burring/re-lube, it's a cracking little gun with plenty of power & accuracy for hunting.
