cars a wright off or is it?

VIC Check by VOSA doesn't have anything to do with the standard of repair.

The paperwork clearly states that.

It is merely a check to confirm the vehicle is the same one that was smashed. Just so you don't go and pinch one and swap No. plates and the like.

Cat C need a VIC check, as do some Cat D.

In the same position as you myself just now, hoping I can buy vehicle back. Some of the quotes to repair are criminal.

Someone has said modern water based paints are expensive......Very much so, and they are a bitch to apply, not impossible without a booth, but nothing like good old 2 pack.

As you have recently spent all that coin on the vehicle, and you are obviously happy with the motor, you do your best to get it back.

It is worth much more to you.

Even if it is a CAT C (which end up with a 'note' on the V5 Document,) you will still have yourself a decent motor at the end of it.

That old a car, I wouldn't worry about it atall. After all, it's not like you're out to make a killing on it. (Maybe the BM Driver will) ;)

All that said, hopefully it is not a bigger job than you 1st thought......

vosa will check the standard of repair there is no way they would let a bad repair on the roads

you can just imagine how much shit would hit the fan if you had a crash after leaving a vosa check and you car falls in half

they go through them like i've already said, i used to buy Q reg's years ago and do them up

i've been for more vosa checks than dental checks

but when i went in they new the job had been done properly

I've done a few myself,

Last one never even came off the trailer!

Worked at a garage too, and seen many a car coming in that I personally wouldn't allow on the road.

VIC - Vehicle Identification Check.

Look at their paperwork, it clearly states they are not assessing the repair. Seems crazy I know....

you can buy it back from insurance company chrisk but it will be recorded as a write off..... and the car will need a VIC check done before you can put it back on the road

Tell the insurance comany you want a repair using secondhand spares,, they might go for it, either that or buy back as a cat D and fic it yerself.
