scotty2306 37
from what ive seen, they either do retrieve or they dont ive got one here that will come in to 10ft away but walks off when you go to get it and ive tried everything but its set in its ways, some will improve but on the whole most wont.worst thing that causes this is another dog near by or a nervous kind Quote Link to post

jf1970 328
when she catches the rabbit, put the slip back on her and carry on walking while letting her carry her catch, after a minute or 2 take the rabbit from her and put it in your bag or what ever you use to carry your catch, i found this helped when i was bringing on my pup as she wasn't to keen on retrieving when i took the rabbit from her straight away, best of luck.
