OldTrapCollector 377
Just thought I'd post a pic of a couple of old traps I found on an outback farm I was hunting on at the weekend..... Stabs, The big one is a Dingo trap made by Lane in Newcastle, NSW - and I think the smaller one is a common rabbit gin whose maker escapes my memory right now but it will come to me, but again was Aussie made. Stabs 3
Give that man a cigar Those old Dingo (or "dog" as they are known around here) traps are buggers.....the farmer told me that he's always being asked to put them down Quote Link to post
ratkilla 35
Stabs i understand the dingo is a real pest to the farmers out where you are now, is trapping and shooting the only way around them, are they a legit quarry for dog men if so are they worked by dogs ? ? Quote Link to post
Stabs 3
Baiting is popular still mate....with 1080 being the one used round here. Not sure about "legit" quarry, but some do get taken by dogs... Quote Link to post
OldTrapCollector 377
Stabs, I have been away from home for a few days (and my trap collection) but on having a quick look, having just got back, at what the other gin trap was it is obvious (to me anyway!) that it is a 'Down-Ee' trap made by W Downey of Sydney, Aus.
