brassneck 128
You proberbly had one of the other models like the esk brass neck ,,, the Tay sport are ok ,, but feck there heavy,, they also wear on the inside on the heel to the extent it wears through to the rubber,, then that's starts to give you blisters on the heel. I've just got some aigle parcours iso,,,, ten times lighter and ten times more comfy than the Tay ,,, but even these are feckers for walking on slope, as your ankles go over,,, boots far better cant remember the model now .. they were softish rubber to top of ankle, then realtree neoprene , i loved them at 1st but just wasnt very impressed about how long they lasted ! to be honest they were the only wellie /boot that kept me feet warm whilst ferreting and stuff i, was tempted to get some more but at 60 odd quid there not the cheapest , maybe try a different model in the future these are avon thats the ones mate .treads were gone in no time , slipped over down the farm and done me back in , boots in skip! Country Joe 1,411
watch those soles they are crap, had mine a Month, was going down a grass banking, where the feet just went from me. I grabbed a fence to stop my fall, wire dug into my finger, ended up at A&E four stiches. Contacted muck boots to tell them what happened, and their soles. but they never had the deceny to get back to me. Would not buy them again. Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
There dont seem to be any wellies that last, had several pairs of muck boots and wore through the heel on the inside, hunters split and chameau cost a fortune. Got Seelands now but they started leaking. To be fair to Seeland their customer service is great, i emailed them and explained the problem and they are sending me a new pair FOC. Hopefully they last a bit longer if not its back to chameaus. Quote Link to post
roxy and bear patterdale 3
Can't beat the ones in asda 12 quid they were and had a year out them and still going. Never slipped or leaked once. Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
Look lads, try some of the Dunlop purofort ones, they last years, are warm, ok grip and cost maybee 40 quid. If youi want to go crazy try the thermo plus ones, grips like a bulldozer, and are super warm, maybee a little clumsy on the slopiest of spots. Have them both, and cannot fault either of them for reliabilty or performance. Maybee like ferrets, they are not flashy enough though! Quote Link to post
reddawn 2,173
i hate wellboots, tried muck boots an chucked them before christmas on there 1st season id much rather wear boots, even throw some gaitors on if needs be, id rather wear me crocs than wellies Quote Link to post
stroller 341
Ive had mine since august spent a season on the grouse moor no probs then started shooting and they have holes everywhere now from climbing fences and beating through felled forestry. I like them as there easy to put on and warm but its back to boots im afraid maybe keep a pair for dog walking Quote Link to post
