PEST CONTROL

Recommended Posts

My mate Tam and I were asked to try and make a hole in the feral pigeon

population in one of the council depots on the outskirts of Dumfries. Most of

the ferals are in an old 10 story building.I shot with the AA S410K and Tam

done the lamping for the darker floors,we were there from 6pm untill 7.30pm.

I shot over 60 ferals some of them weren't recovered,we did pick up 39 for

ferret food.Hoping to get another shot at them in the near future.

good shooting, what caliber is your rifle and how do you rate it? how many shots per charge do you get?

.22 calibre,I would prefer a .177 but didn't have a choice.The 410k in my opinion

is brilliant.I put 7 magazines [70 shots] through the rifle tonight and it was still

spot on,though I believe Air Arms say you get 60 consistent shots.

  • 3 weeks later...

It's been 4 weeks since Tam and I were at the ferals so we paid them a visit tonight.

First shot I had resulted in the plastic/perspex cover on the 10 shot magazine falling apart  meaning it could only hold 3 pellets

We did manage to shoot about 35-40 ferals,we picked up 25 for the ferrets. No doubt we'll be back for another go in the future
