Outlaw Pete 2,224
Fireman; How nice to see there are people out there, as seriously into their birds as you patently are, and who share my simple views I mean; If Elvis and his mates prefer their birds a bit different? Fair play to them. They're not hurting anyone, or the birds. I'm not some sort of 'Anti' either. I absolutely love Modern English Game birds. About as freakishly human engineered as a bird can get. I just prefer my native birds to look as I see them in the wild. Oh, and Elvis ....? No, mate. Gave up ALL smoking years ago. God knows, I could kill for the odd spliff now. But, I make do with stout
fireman 10,869
If it ain't broke mate then why the feck try and fix it ,our native birds in my opinion match anything else the world can offer in colour. Ok we may not have the shapes and feather type like some of the jungle birds have but the colours we can match ,don't get me wrong i have colour mutations myself and i do like the novelty of them but i have naturals of the same sort and if i to keep just one type it'd be the natural coloured birds. Outlaw Pete 2,224
Why can't you keep natives Pete?,can't be because of other animals unless you keep spars in your aviary . Sorry, mate. I'd missed that bit, somehow. Magpies. And, in between times, it doubles up as a crow trap.
