Sirius 1,391
You did well to get away with that Brimmer..fair play to ya.. Had a similar thing happen a while back.. I was with a team of lads, hired to move a few rabbits off a Fuel Depot.. As we pulled onto the place,..I spied a trio of rabbits, drop into, a three hole set, so,.I said nothing and raced over, to get in first.... Big mistake.... You know what,.the second that ferret's tail disappeared to ground,.I fecking knew, that I should not have done it The ferret had bottled up the three rabbits, and she just could not move em, or kill, em,.and would not leave,em... Six foot down , protected by a girt big feck off Somerset Stone.... I remained on that cold old bank, for most of the morning, whilst rabbits were being netted all around me..! What a god-awful fecking place it was,...still,..we all had an earner, plus a real nice Cider Fest on the way home, so,..there ya go.. All the best, CHALKWARREN.. Now,.I don't think you should have done that... Six foot down... Horrible place.... Lets go home,..for fecks sake... You were unlucky that day chalky, me and the other reprobates got away with just the odd two footer lol just don't mention the longnet lol Quote Link to post
Sirius 1,391
Nice day Brimmer, it's al very well getting big numbers and its always nice to catch a few. But a nice walkout travelling light catching a few can IMO be twice as enjoyable, as long as you don't get too many digs lol I have dug about a handful of times all season till last Sunday and had 3 stoney nightmares one at 6ft which lucky the Jill walked out on after 40mins :-) Good hunting Sirius Quote Link to post

breeze 1,308
Great write up that Brimm See the dog still "On a rope" Don't you ever let her FREE Talking about backfill's . . . . Did you place that rock back nice and tidy like you found it ? Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
As for the terrier, she's stockbroken, but would be a liabilty to herself and the day if let off at present. She is stopping short of the end of the rope when called setting off after bolters, is keeping off the nets most of the time now, so there is a little hope, but as with some terriers, common sense is in short supply, and the drive to get to grips with something would outweigh returning at the end of the day, I could see her doing the dissappearing act at present, either over the hill, or dropping down a rock hole maybee never to be seen again, so until im a bit more sure of the dogs intentions, she will be on the rope. She really is only there as backup in case we never have a another problem with the other runner, which her marking is getting good, and also local to me there are a few red chaps around on mates farms, so as soon as a bit of snow drops, she'll get a start. NEWKID 27,211
Nice read there Brimmer and well earned bag, after our big bag a couple of weeks back its been back to earth with a bump... The last few weekends have been hard going... Topped by a trip to Wellington ( around 30 miles from me) case we were told the chap was over run.... Usual story on arrival " I saw one yesterday" was his opening gambit, we caught that one and left tails between our legs.... Better to be out than in though Cheers Kev Quote Link to post
