Ultra se or scorpion se

Recommended Posts

Hi Rob,

What pellets have you found to be hard to cycle in the magazine buddy?

My last Ultra was a single shot .177 so i didn't have the problem with awkward pellets in a magazine and mine loved JSB Exacts at 4.53 mm.

I'm hoping my new Ultra SE which is a multishot will like them to .

What pellets are you finding work best in yours for accuracy and the mag working well?

Jsb 4.53,4.52 , aa field 4.52, h&n 4.50( although these go through a 4.52 pellet sizer ,tighter fit than any 4.52 pellet iv tried)lol

Pellets that don't cycle to clever are the defiants, some rws superdomes. But the superdomes group ok too. Iv not had any decent weather, to try it out..but the first lot of pellets I can get it to group under a 5p just, at 35yrds..sitting in a ditch resting on my knees lol in the wet an mud.

To be honest Si, the groupings would shrink if it were someone else shooting , and if I could get a nice indoor range, resting lol all the ranges I know if round here are all outdoor, even on a calm day you will get a cross wind...good for practice, not for pellet testing...ideally anyway. Atb Si, you will love the ultra lol Bsa has grown on me a smidge

No there is a mixture of .177, .20, .22 and .25 hunters in the section, but if im honest I think there is a few more .177 lads. There are also some lads that shoot a few different calibres.

Ive owned a Scorpion Se mate and many normal Ultra's both are good. The ultra is lighter and more pointable in some situations.

I found my Se to be a bit pellet fussy so you will need to do your home work if you get one.

Accuracy wise for me the Ultra took it but that could just be that it fit me so good. They both are accurate at normal sub 12 ranges once the correct pellet is identified. Longest head shot on a pigeon in my life was done with a .177 ultra and witnessed too.

If the new Ultra Se is really an improvement on the older Ultra it will be an amazing little rifle.

Ranger, if you get a silencer..which I really think u should lol get a Hw one. People have said the decimator is better or just as good...its utter bollocks lol I tried them both on a rapid s type, and the ultra I have..its like night and day...Hw all day long. Also tried my mates marksman on the ultra, the Hw seemed to tip it for me..with a duller sound, as the marksman had a higher pitch. Atb

Sweet man have heard very good things about them. Few lads saying that the VC complements BSA range better or just as well as the HW but after watching a couple of ( fairly unscientific ) youtube tests I think the results speak for themselves. Will be HW or nothing mate :) Ordering on Thursday just need to man up and decide on caliber.

never had an ultra but they look a cracking bit of kit, i had a scorpion t10 and it was the biggest bag of dog dooo that i've ever had.

not saying the SE is like this but i dont think id take the chance to see unless 1 came up silly cheap ;)

Wxm, I'm not a Bsa fan, but the ultra fitted the bill for the nipper, so took a slight chance. But so far its really good, touch wood. As for the vc silencer, its basically the same as Hw internals, just not as quiet again, but quieter than that decimator. I don't know how anyone can say its quiet lol tried on a tuned .177 19" barrel s type, and a std ultra with 12" barrel, both were fairly loud like..then put Hw on s type, that's all u could hear is minimal action noise more or less
