what is the best type of dog food to get

I am just woundering what I should be feeding my lucher I have been told that high protien food is good for them but I was just wanting some opinions on this.

I've found red mills the best all round.

 

I've tried some more expensive foods but none had the dogs looking any better.

I use Dr Johns,

 

Gold most of the year and Platinum when they are working a lot.

I use Gains 28 when the dogs are working then Gains 20 out of season. This seems to hold there weight well and give a good coat, and its only £12.50 a bag. Atb John

I've tried red mills but I'm on Wafcol now. It seems to keep them better. Good shiny coat etc.

BARF is best (look it up) but if it could be difficult to source or keep, then you may have to try different dry foods to get it right. High protein foods are only good 'if' you are working your dog hard, week in week out. If not go for an average priced and protein food and don't for get to add either good meat or maybe fish, a few times a week. Also, if you are changing from different bags, introduce each type mixed for a few days, or your dog can be in a state with its bowels. 'Complete' it is not.. and you will only get out of them, what you put into them..!!

i use gain 28 and raw meat

Beta active, £27 a bag. Tried lots of food with lots of dogs and this one is definitely the best and beta puppy for whelping bitches and obviously puppys.

i use docter john gold and raw meat scraps from the butchers

alpha and raw.. but each dog is different.. so what works on mine might not with yours

I used to used beta active to but I found the gain 28 to be much better for my 2 have you tried that one pal it's half the price and I would say twice as good quality for my 2

I use gain greyhound 28 through the season [bANNED TEXT] running them hard then i wil lower the protein out of season maybe to gain 20 or dr johns.
