last year on my permissions i could go out for for the day and could pull 30 if worked hard enough for it and was out most weekends as well as lamping during the week, this year iv maybe been out 6 times, only really had sport for the lurcher during the day but not enough to talk about, its a real bad state even after leaving a good stock last year the weathers just had its way with them

There seems to be pockets of rabbits across the country but numbers are pretty low all over this season. I went for a mouch yesterday, done 3 small burries - a 13 holer, 10, and a 5. Nothing at home in the two bigger ones and I got two small bucks out of the 5. I didnt know wether to feel hard done by or privileged. Theres a few still out there, just got to look in the places you used to turn your nose up at, and get used to the idea of smaller bags for more work.

I've still got too many to go at and not enough time. .. So have quite a few of my mates.

But I travel to get my sport. . .So does anyone these days who wants to keep up their game.

If I was local I would still be getting a few,But obviously the closer to town you live the more people are out there locally hammering everything that moves.

My fuel bills far outweigh my game bag..thats for sure.

Had a good few up here, been a good learning curve for the kits I bred last summer. Really getting there teeth into it, also the pup has been marking perfect. Couldn't be happier with our first proper season, apart from the pups injury a few weeks back its been decent enough. Cheers
