J Darcy 5,871
Its the poor leverets and fawns i feel for. I bet hundreds have perished in the wet grasses. A little bit of sunshine now may save a few lives. Was watching a roe doe yesterday for a little while, she was only 10 yards from me in the end...a smart looking deer i know many nests of little birds died, the wrens i was watching didnt make it still, mother nature knows best... Guest Frank
I was thinking the same thing myself. , looking out of my window, it looks so wet and cold, hopefully the dry weather we had over here in April, might have some leverets strong enough to survive? As for the deer fawn, it has been heavy rain in June, their birth month and as said, has not stoped raining that much since. Frank.
Simoman 110
A lot of our fields have been under water, I've seen a few fox cubs wandering around in the middle of the day, I wonder how many earths have been flooded? Bordering fileds we go on in a stream bank is a huge earth, the fields are still covered in standing water so no doubt anything in that earth would be gone Your right Joono about leverets and fawns, they are exposed at the best of times.............. Guest Frank
I heard that too JDF , the weather man was on about some atmospheric changes that will take place then or something? , lets hope its true and not a mistake. Looks like im not the only one sitting here watching rain and depressed looking lurchers in their kennels , good job i had them out for a good run early this morning. If it clears later, which is ment to do, i will be off lamping a few coneys. Frank.
