It was the most horrendous thing I have ever had to work on. It's a barbaric practice and needs to be banned forthwith. In China's eyes, by allowing it to be carried out on farmed bears, they were protecting the wild population, thus it is a form of conservation. It's utterly depressing to look at China's continued rape of the natural world. Tiger in India, Rhino in Africa, Leopard from pretty much anywhere they can, as well as bile bears. It's disgusting.
