19 inch span to big for ground work?

Recommended Posts

i dont want to be the one that says your dogs to big. but at 19 inch its a giant for a terrier mate. if it is strong built its far to big for a general earthdog. some folk find use of a big dog but they generally have a handy sized terrier to carry it. 19 inch is the size of a small lurcher. and nine times out of ten its going to run into trouble getting. i like a big dog but i use them on top a lot now. and i used to do a lot of farm dumps and stone drains etc. if you open your pic in paint there is an option to resize your pics in there

i have a 19 inch terrier, only fits in 5 of the 10 tubes and sometimes it will take a bit longer for him to get there. i dont agree a terrier can get there if he wants to, lots of tubes are just to small.

a bigger, stronger terrier is good to have around but you will need a smaller dog too for the small tubes.
