One-mode-torches 0
Hi Yes I've tried the red led. Really bright and they come with remote pressure switch. They are better than the ones with the add on filter as the filter dims the led quite a bit. Although they mostly come in give modes with flash/sos/ ect. So I got a friend to modify it to single(high beam mode) and its great. Quote Link to post
One-mode-torches 0
I recommend the 4000lumen modified single mode (no flash/sos)version with zoom/focus on eBay with the small square compact beam. Although the lumen reading is taken at 1m in spot mode. But is really bright for the price and uses the same led as the lenser ect but without the high price. They are also available with remote stock switch. Quote Link to post
tomburras 2,730
My torch is a modified ultrafire red 501b with converging lens and blacked out refractor, it is amazing! Since I made this (last year) iv honestly never picked up my proper lamps (handheld hid lamp and tracer max) it is perfect for airguns! Id say it transformed my outings as its so light and no wires ect and a couple of spare batteries in your pocked your out till dawn with no chance of running out of battery power. The lens is from dealtime extream and is £1.90 and the single mode red 501b is around a tenner. You spray your existing refractor matt black (or permenant marker works) just unscrew the bulb bit first so you dons paint the bulb. Its so cheap anyone on a budget can have a top lamp. You must try it to believe my enthuseasm they are that good. The ultrafire red is allready regarded as one of the best lamping torches but the converging lens and blacked out refractor turn it into a perfect lamping torch!!! 1 Quote Link to post

caravandwellar 1
I have an Ultrafire 501b and use it as a torch, awesome little thing. I'm going to order a pressure switch and use it for rats in the winter on my Ultra, keep the weight down compared to the LEDray 800 I use on my Ranger for rabbits which tends to get heavy Quote Link to post
