Took my little terrier bitch out yesterday, only 5 1/2 month and wasn't expecting much tbh, as she was really only took out too get her introduced to it and see how she handled it all. Anyway she was excellent, marked three sets and had rabbits out of them all. Over the moon and got more permission to top the day off.

Out on a new permission that looked spot on, around 14 big fields on both sides of a track, with a massive quarry at the bottom and lots of rabbity looking ground. There was alot of what seemed to be setts, but on the dog marking them and sticking a ferret down it became clear they weren't. It was weird tbh and i couldn't and still can't get my head around it. The holes would go in about a foot or 2 and then end and there were around 5/6 holes like this in a small area, hence me thinking they were a sett, anybody have an opinion on this as ive never seen it before, ive seen 'hidey holes' but never are they this deep and that many of them?. The other setts that were there, hadn't been used for a while and the dog wasn't interested at all. We found a decent sett, that had 14 holes, fresh poo, fresh digging and the dog marked it well, which resulted in 1 rabbit and that was it for the rest of the day. Good too be out, but was a bloody hard days walk, for one rabbit lol :D Here is a few pictures from yesterday.
