pinguu 169
some kind of object trapped in back passage maybe? has the dog had bones stones branches? To be honest though if i was passing blood or someone i knew was, it would be a trip to the doctors, id go to the vets regardless.

stabba 10,745
Could be a bad case of Colitis mate... light meals of chicken and rice and a quick course of anti-biotics could sort it...but if the dog is down in itsself then i'd take a trip to the vet just to be on the safe side...have you fed it anything out of the norm at all or has it picked something up whilst out and ate it?? tablets like anti imflammateries can cause bleeding if fed on an empty stomach...atb stabba
BOLIO1 1,078
haemorrhagic diarrhoea is a classic symptom of parvo I'm affraid.....get your vet is my advice.
Mochastorm 68
Certainly one for the vet, but don't worry too much. When my lurcher bitch was a pup I thought she was shitting blood, but was reassured by the vet that it was her stomach lining. It was a colitis, and advised to feed chicken and rice. Hope all goes well.

socks 32,253
What is the dog fed on and is t taking on fluids ... Do the scruff test to make sure it isn't dehydrated ......
BOLIO1 1,078
Also there's a distinctive smell from enteritis caused by parvo but the vet is the way to go....!!
BOLIO1 1,078
Agree with Socks....so long as they are drinking there's a chance of survival. Lean chicken and boiled rice if they'll eat it and try to cut out the fats until the stools solidify...but again...ask your vet.
