hideandshoot 13
I believe that the Mk3 collars work OK with the Mk1 box (although not 100% as accurate), but never heard of anyone using the Mk2 collar with a Mk1 box. I don't think the M1 collars work with the Mk 3 box though. From what I've read I'd steer clear of anything to do with the MK2. Quote Link to post

PETEWINN 5
I thought all collars work with mk1 box? They do, I have tested it myself. At one stage I had the complete range of Deben ferret finders and collars so spent some time testing what worked with what. Result were different to that quoted by Deben. Mk1 finder works with any collar. Mk1 collar only works with Mk1 finder. Mk2, Mk3 and Mk3M collars work with any finder. Mk2, Mk3 and Mk3M finders will work with any collar apart from the Mk1. hideandshoot 13
This is a Simon Whitehead YouTube clip. Well worth watching, especially if you're a novice. Towards the end he explains about Mk1 and Mk3 compatability. You will probably have to cut and paste the URL (below) to your google bar and click the search tab. No mention of the Mk2 in this clip which I believe was a hastily launched upgrade to the Mk1 but was quickly superceded with the Mk3. Hope this helps all those confused ferreters out there.
