jill in season

Recommended Posts

Unless there is a demand for kits around your way or you want some kits for yourself I wouldnt bother breeding. You can get a jill jab at the vets to take her out of season if you cant find a vasectomied hob.

But if you do want to breed kits you should wait til her vulvae is swollen to about the size of a thumbnail i think :whistling: Well thats what I do. But dont wait too long as the longer you wait the harder it will be to home kits I would imagine.

Maybe someone from this site in your area will have a hob you can use to breed with?

I hope I didnt sound like I was telling you not to breed mate. Theres nothing wrong with it at all :) I was just giving you my take on how its sometimes hard to home ferrets.

Hopefully someone on here will be able to let you use a good working hob ;) I would lend you mine but Im a good few hours away!

Be careful about mates who will take some of them off your hands..........in my experience they don't always get permission off their nearest and dearest first and have to give you a lame excuse leaving you with unwanted wrigglers!

Good luck! :)
