MOO 730
pre fer .410 to .22 Quote Link to post
digdeeper 278
A 3 inch chambered 410 has the same lbs per square inch as a 2 1/2 inch 12 bore cartridge and providing you are close enough a. 410 would be ample and do a much cleaner job atb dig deeper Quote Link to post
GOBSHITE 107
Do you have a pistol or shotgun ? I prefer a .22 myself no noise no mess and a hell of a lot quieter when your terrier is still attached to the game. Quote Link to post
TOPPER 1,809
my choice is 410 i cant remember the last time i took the .22 out Quote Link to post
Born Hunter 17,787
410 if you are only using for dispatch but 12 bore is more versatile as it can be used to cover holes in the case of a bolt or if you want to knock some cover through for a flush but still fine for close range dispatch. dytkos 17,815
Both good, dependant on circumstances. 4.10 when quarry is solo, pistol if dog is still attached Cheers, D. Quote Link to post
