There doesnt need to be a tournament or any strict policy................just a straightforward title eliminator between 2 top ranked fighters is good enough..............these days fighters are trying to inch their way to a shot without really fighting and beating anyone of any worth, these manufactured unbeaten records will be their undoing in the long run.

I agree, look what happened Vlad Klitschko when he lost to Corrie Sanders, it almost wrecked his career!

He was pretty much hand fed opponents he would walk through, then Sanders blasted him out in two rounds. He come back against "Touch of sleep" and got put on his arse again and looked shaky as hell before winning then the Brewster fight lol f**k me he was in the horrors. He ain't done too bad since but he had to make a lot of changes to get to where he is now.

Don`t rate Fury at all, I`ve seen better boxers outside a kebab shop on a Friday night.....and they were still holding their kebab!

exciting to watch ............   your tv must be different to mine .

He would get taken down and pounded out, by the same token stick a pair of gloves on Cain and he would not last a round in a boxing ring.

He's ranked in Ring magazine top ten which is widely regarded the most esteemed ranking organisation atm. He's coming on at good pace and doing really well,to be in the top 10 at 23 in the heavyweight division these days is an acheivment itself seeing as the bigger fellas seem to be coming into their own round about 30,also think he's more intelligent than people give him credit for,the kids just hypin up his fights and like him or loathe him he has toungues waggin. One thing I do believe he needs to do is dump Channel 5 the first chance he gets, they aren't doing him justice, the channel itself doesnt have a strong enough sport following to promote his fightsand are the reason there was so many empty seats in at his last fight. Hope he keeps fighting in Belfast, fcuk nos the city needs something positive these days.

Danny you say channel 5 are not doing him justice?

Hows that then?

they put on ALL hes fights live and they stand by there man

channel 5 dont and havent bigged him up

Tyson is the only one with the talk

NOBODY else

i think Channel 5 should tell him to shut up and get on with his business instead of given ridiculars comments on ufc fighters and saying hes the best in the world

NOT CHANNEL5

Have a look at the top 10 Tuffty has posted and clock their records................there is 5 fighters in that top 10 who are unbeaten !!....They cant all be unbelievable talents.........Why not fight each other as a title elimnator ??................this tactic of safety first no risk padding out unbeaten records is killing the division Price and Fury are as bad as anyone else....................love him or hate him ol Delboy Chisora at least gets in there and has a go and doesnt fear a loss like most of them.......talent and ability will take you most of the way......but sheer will to win and competetive spirit will be what gets you over the finish line.

I don't think they can do him justice as regards promoting his fights and bringing him to a wider audience, lets be honest Channel 5 ain't exactly a popular channel full stop, never mind a popular sports channel, they don't have the glamour or the audience of say Sky. For his last fight in Belfast there was no buzz about the place in the weeks and days leading up-to the fight, when Sky puts on a show its the talk of the country, everyone is excited, because the promotion has reached the target audience, and when one person buys tickets that usually means there will be a couple of mates goin or at the least a bird(unless your a Billy-no-mates;-)). Is the reason people arent going to hi fights because the lads not a native,I personally don't think so. I'm sure what your saying about the channel getting behind him is true,I just don't think they're good enough, especially in what could be the biggest year of his career. As for the way he carrys on before fights,I can't see channel5 encouraging him to stop, just like there was no chance of Sky asking David Haye to reign in his behaviour before the Klitsco fight. It's all for the show.
