04fox8 168
Hello Folks, We built a shed a few years ago, but stupidly just fitted the plain profile sheets for a roof, as opposed to the anti-condensation type, Now it rains inside as well!! Instead of ripping it all off and starting again, does anyone know of an easier solution? Is there anything on the market I could spray on the inside to prevent the condensation? It has been suggested I put up polythene sheet / plywood on the underside of the framework, but in my opinion, that's only hiding the problem, and will come back to bite me in the a**e again in another few years, needing new sheets cos of rot. If I have to take the whole lot off again, so be it, but just checking my options before we actually get the weather to do anything with it. It's not a huge roof, only about 20' x 10'. Cheers for any ideas. Even if they involve taking the sheets off. PS- Why can't I use my funny faces and tool bars on here now? I could a few days ago..

04fox8 168
Aye? That would work? That would prevent the condensation from forming in the 1st place? It's a good wee shed, but I f**ked up with this! My concern was that the water would still form, run down the back and rot away the timber. If you think this is the way to go, I'll be more than happy. I'd seen 'foam' stuff offshore, and in tattie sheds and had wondered about it, but some 'buck shee' (spare / off cuts) of Kingspan will be easier, and probably cheaper. Lab 10,979
Easiest method mate is a stuff called Touch and Foam. I have it in my pheasant sheds. It's not cheap but it's alot easier than any insulation sheets or boards.

Hello Cammy, No, well, not live ones! Wasn't thinking at the time when we built it, Glorious Summer days, making good headway.....needed sheet fast to get job finished. Along comes winter, and everything inside gets f**kin soaked anyway!! Got a few rolls of Glass wool lying around spare, but it's horrible stuff, especially above you! Might just suffer it for a morning, get it in there and stick up a sheet or 2 of ply to keep it there. Lab - Where did you get it from? Builders merchant / specialist Doods? Is it an aerosol deal, or do I need a gun for the compressor? Cheers.
