WoodsmanJim 160
I've had a gander through the general licences pinned to the top of this board and at various other government websites, but I can't find any specific info on shooting squirrels. Even BASC website just says you can all year round, but I can't find the piece of legislation that allows it. Am I just being blind? or is my google foo just weak today? Jim Quote Link to post

moxy 617
Have alook through the 1981 wildlife and countryside act and natural England's info to satisfy yourself. Best thing to arm yourself with as the ignorant are concerned is a polite fook off!! Quote Link to post
neil82 1,080
classed as vermin, same as rabbits, also non-native so if caught in trap have to be destroyed, also bloody tasty but a pain to skin so nearly a win win situation Quote Link to post

Acuspell 329
Yep. Alien species vermin, open season. As in they are afforded no protection other than those which cover cruelty to animals, so you can shoot them, provided you do not cause unecessary suffering intentionally.
