here you go mate

The good old days when a 2 piece suit and trainers and coursing dog on a slip walking the field's were the norm

that looks like a really good bitch up and at um and got the wind and heart to kill a top notcher

the black and tan looks like saluki in him just a question stubblebasher what is it these dogs lacking speed or stay in your honest opinion? on a serious note

Dogs overshooting ,no style , no control whatsoever just running the hares like greyhounds ! Summer hares too ! you very rarely get stuff like that out of well bred litters today !

fair comment mate but i think you will still get dogs overshooting etc in todays litters and you will find it hard to get a good litter today with all the shit thats being bred today

Today's dogs are a lot closer bred to the saluki. They are born with coursing sense and controlled pace . You don't need to teach them how to course they do it naturally , unlike the dogs on the video which are closer bred to the greyhound

That may be so ,but perhaps I'm lucky enough not to have it round me . Look at the other videos on this thread and you can see there is no comparison between those dogs and the dogs on the 80s video . They are a good representation of how coursing dogs run today

mick had a good dog called tiny at one point and it was a good dog and just as good as some of the dogs about today and i know stan, and had a pup off him years ago don't forget this was back in the 80s what they filmed is what you see not cut out the bad and show the good the thing is they were into there dogs and coursing and enjoyed the crack if some off you was out as much as they was you might not be so quick to slag there dogs off enjoy you fieldsport phill
