Read somewhere that there on about a Media license.......introducing one ......just anther taxation. Its for internet radio tv and all your media stuff. How many people can say they dont use internet radio or tv..............i dont have a tv license i use free satelite and it doesnt pick up Irish channels so why should i pay for the license when im not watching it.

Don't watch uk tv,... sky Germany and Italy is my main tv viewing.

its only the bbc the money go's to, so f****d if i'm paying them for top gear, when i watch it on iplayer, bet you didn't no they buy shows from ITV channel 4 C5 and sell them to other countries.

so when you hear, we give some of the license fee to other channels that is bull shit, they are buying in shows

I think when we move we'll get rid of our arials and cable telly and opt out of our licence.

You don't need to get rid of anything, if you don't watch live TV then you don't need a licence, your word that you don't watch it should be enough, and if it isn't then the BBC are certainly not in a position to be questioning anyones integrity!

They knocked mine the other week and I politley told them to feck off.........tried blagging me he had the right to check my premises for a tv, I laughed and told him to feck off this time I wasn't polite either. :D I've since had a letter saying that they can apply for a search warrant to enter my premises, but reading between the lines they can apply for one whether they get one is a different matter. The tv licensing people try to scare you into giving your details, just tell them to go away. :victory:
