porkycrook 466
Well what a way to start off 2013, my bloody laptop has picked the 2nd day of the New Year to come and frazzle. Well if 2012 had not had enough time to stack crap onto my shoulders, it's nearest and dearest has chosen to join the party. So being one of the people that can't get everything paid for by the state, whether it is due to my colour or that i have paid into the system for nearly 40 years. But i struggle through still paying my mortgage, council tax, heating, electricity and the rest of my bills. People think that i should always be this happy smiley chap, but there are times when i think at some stage things have got to take a turn for the better but no. So get to the point i hear you shout, as my laptop is down i will not be able to join in with the forum fun. Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
PM Inbound sire! Problem with claiming for a new laptop on your home insurance is that the premiums will rise, then when you declare you have made an insurance claim you car insurance will go up as well! pianoman 3,587
Nip down the council and say you are a refugee immigrant. You'll get a laptop, a PC and a cash voucher to buy a car. They'll throw in a fully furnished house, benefits, rent paid every month, settlement allowance. Council tax benefit, social funding for fridge, a cooker and a telly! And you can laugh while Ian Duncan-Smith will call a homeless British ex soldier, scarred by war an embarrassment; or a hard working British man a pair of skiving scroungers who, through no fault of his own, has lost his job, his status, his credit rating and his family reduced to poverty, living off the state; while there are, apparently, well-paid jobs galore, just begging for the asking out there! The one 8,482
Far better if you have a mate to have a look at it rather than try to clean on the house hold insurance far cheaper and quicker Quote Link to post

It must be the season for broken computers. Ive fixed 2 this year already for friends / family. What I tend to do these days is set everyone up with the google cloud - so route all email via gmail, save documents in google drive rather than my documents, link pictures to picassa, contacts etc.. so that way if anything goes kapoot, you just log into google on your new pc and hey presto everything is automatically synced. Hope you get it sorted! Quote Link to post
