How long does it take to gut a rabbit, FFS ?? 10 seconds ? Slit the belly, pull the guts out, thats it !! Leave the heart, liver, lungs and kidneys in 'till the next day if you must, but to completely

Oh dear what were you doing it with??   A spoon??

And remember to steep them in salt water over night it draws all the blood out of the meat tastes better happy cooking )

GD please promise us all you wont team up with Country Joe.

He participates in a two day dig, you take an age to prep the fecker!!

Practice mate I do thousands a year ......

In what sort of batches? I usually do about 10 (average) at once and probably 3/400 a season.

30 years ago I had a spell doing 30-50 a day 2 or 3 times a week, wasn't any quicker then

Cheers, D.

I've got a £40 buck knife. Sharp as feck aswell.

I think it's all the gear and no idea here

Fair play to the lads doing them to butchers standard in a couple of minutes. I would love to be able to do one to butchers standard at all!

I've always found that ferreted rabs are the easiest, only by the fact that when you come home from ferreting its usually tea time (ish)

so theres plenty of time left in the day, they're fresh and warm and easy if you do them then..

When you come home from lamping, its usually off to bed and gutted rabs are left till the following day and thus more difficult.

Hardest ones are the ones that have been gutted, put in a bin liner and frozen. When you defrost them they don't have the same "give" IMO

Cheers, D.
