I have a p7 on my .22. Good for 100-130m although they claim 200

got a p7 and a t7 mate would go out of the house without one on me you can also get a filter kit for them cuts light away down but good for close range stuff.

 

there buy far one of the best quality torches out there.

I've got the P7, it's about 4 years old now, use it very regularly, build quality is excellent, and it resists abuse quite well too.

I think i saw a lightweight model of the p7 somewhere on the net. think it was L7 might be worth a go. i use the H7 head torch with my air rifle works out to about yards. mate uses the bigger H14 head torch with his 17 hmr works out to about 150 yards

I have the P7 and use it on my rimfire with green filter, also use it on the 410 hushpower, Id say its good to around 60-80yds
