I work mainly marsh lands and surrounding farms as You can imagine its very hard work at the moment. Not worth even taking ferrets out of their hutch, Lamping is a complete waste of time due to the amount of standing water and water logged ground any rabbits can here Me skwelching through the mud a hundred miles away. The only joy I have had is working cover although there is still not alot about. We have had one bunny in the last half a dozen outings flushed from some thick brambles. My poor little Jacks ears are torn to bits but still she keeps grafting.

From looking at a long range forecast January looks wet and warm so no change. I am gutted I worked so hard to gain a farmers trust and get permission to ferret his land, I would say nearly all his land is on the Estuary so just water logged. Having said that we did manage one, pushed out from very deep and thick cover today. To be honest bushing with Jack russell to Lurcher is by far my favourite pass time, took a while to get them to work in tune with one another but just about there now and a pleasure to watch.
